Little seems to be the new big thing nowadays, even in the
car world. With the new 2015 Chevrolet Sonic LTZ, this stylish little car will
make your small world seem so much bigger.
Styling Exterior
When you look at the Sonic for the
first time, you will notice its great sleek style. Chevrolet did a great job
with the styling of this little car. What is great about the style of the Sonic
is that it has an aggressive, sporty look to it. The front end of the Sonic has
an aggressive square jaw look. With the headlights and taillights sporting a
black-rimmed cover, the lights are exposed and emphasized to give the car a
great look.
The back end of the car does not
disappoint you either. With a rear spoiler on the top of the vehicle keeps the
aggressive, sporty look to the Sonic. Also, I can’t forget about the stylish alloy
wheels. Now when you see the Sonic for the first time you probably won’t notice
the rear door handles. They have a new and unique place on the door, located on
the topside of the rear door.
Sporty & Sophisticated Interior
The Sonic’s interior has a very
attractive look to it. First thing you notice in the Sonic is that the dash has
a black with silver trim look, which is very sophisticated. The dashboard is
made of a hard sturdy plastic that is durable. Taking a look closer, the analog
tachometer and speedometer add a different look to the Sonic. It’s like a
motorcycle type look added to the dash. With a two door glove box to store
little things in. The air vents have a
neat look to them.
The rear seating of the Sonic has
more space than other sub-compact cars, with legroom and headroom. Once you
look at the rear cargo you would think it is quit, but don’t be fooled; there
is a under cargo for more space.
Engine Performance
Opening the hood of the Sonic you
will notice the four-cylinder engine. Asking your self if this little engine
has any power to it? The answer to that is yes, it does. This little 98hp 1.4
–liter motor has power to get this car flying. It has a six-speed automatic
transmission and also a manual mode to it.
Chevrolet did a great job with the
Sonic getting great mileage. Around town the car will average 10km/L. On the
highway it will average around 18km/L.
Handling and Riding
Handling in the Sonic is great; the
suspension and steer handling seem to go hand in hand. Taking long or sharp
turns the Sonic is great, with changing direction and as well safe and
secure. As you are driving the Sonic,
the ride will be enjoying. Long trips or stuck in the manila traffic, the ride
of the car will not bug you at all.
Extra Features
Backing up made easy in the Sonic,
with the reverse back up cam making backing up easier. The little cam on the
rear end of the car solves all backing up problems. Not only is there a backup
cam but also backup sensors to warn you how close you are to things. The Sonic
has great sound system built into the car, and the auto controls on the
steering wheel make it easier to change radio stations or higher/lower volume.
You also get keyless entry. On the different models of the Sonic, you can get a
touchscreen display, fog lamps, and more.
Also, for the music lovers out there
the Sonic has Bluetooth connectivity and USB auxiliary so you can just play and
listen to your playlist especially during traffic hours. It has steering wheel
mounted audio controls that provides easy audio management while driving. Last thing, the speakers are strategically
placed within the Sonic to give you a great listening experience during any
long drive.
To end this review, the aggressive,
sporty looking Sonic is a great car in the end. This sub-compact car will not
disappoint you on your driving experience. For sure you will not get tired of
this car and it will make you always want to drive wherever your going. It will
make you coast down the road.
