Belle of the Ball

With my lifestyle, I do not get that many chances to dress up like this. You know the sporty-chick inside get its fair share all 5 days of the week with my sporty outfit and rubber shoes but when there's an event or occasion, I go all out in choosing what to wear. 

When I checked SKY CASTLE CO., I fell in love with all of their clothes plus I love how it fits me. It's a local brand that's why I don't have any problem with the length or the fit unlike international brands. Petite girl? Present!

I personally picked an all white outfit but they have other cute and colorful ball skirts that my eyes couldn't resist looking at. I love the skirt and I think it's a great transitional piece to have in your wardrobe. You can match anything with a white skirt. Right? I chose to pair it with a neoprene v-neck sleeveless crop top to show a little skin and to balance out my outfit since the skirt is covering your lower body part. If you have it, flaunt it! Then, a layered gold necklace and crown rings for the finishing touch. ;-P

The minute I put on this skirt, I felt like I was ready to walk the gardens of a palace, haha! No but really, the skirt did give me a "Princessy" feel, which made me feel good and confident. It's beautiful to see how clothes can impact you so much, after all fashion is an art form that allows people to express themselves.

White Out!

There's so much trends going around the world like now that sometime you don't know  where to go or what to follow but here's any easier way out of the clutter: wearing white on white and, more white. You don't need to pull up big bills from your wallet to follow a celebrity to pull the look off; this is something you won't even think twice to purchase it. I got the H&M crop top and Forever 21-inspired high waisted shorts from FAIRE FUSION and you wouldn't believe how much it costs.  I'll give you a hint: It's not even half the retail price. And, I just want to keep it minimal so I accessorized my look with a nice handmade necklace from PINK OUTSIDE THE BOX & rings from Forever 21. To preserve the monochromatic style, I went for a white open-toe block heel sandals with a little color of black from HUEMANILA. 

Just a reminder, make sure the shades work together. Ask yourself, does one white look so bright that it makes the other almost look dirty? Be mindful how your whites work together.

By the way, I decided its time for a change. No more blonde ends and sticking to a simple and sophisticated bob look.

Happy New Year 2015!

Last week we rang in the new year and declared, "Out with the old!" and, "In with the new!"

I just want to greet everybody a Happy New Year! I hope you guys had a wonderful holiday season with your loved ones and friends. For me, I spent my holiday season well with the people close to my heart especially my boyfriend, Matt who stayed in the Philippines for us to celebrate our first Christmas & New Year together. 2014 was indeed a good year and I'm looking forward for what 2015 has for me. 

How about you? Since it's New Year, everybody's thinking of what's their new year's resolution. What to change from last year? This and that. The new year makes people welcome change. We make resolutions defining what will be better for our lives this 2015. Even if change is hard, just take baby steps and you'll get there.

I decide to go casual but still fash-i-on as Matt and I went to the mall. Some folks are already posting their New Year's preparation while I'm still at the mall scoring some post holiday sales. By the way, credits to Matt Salem for taking these nice photos. I didn't know you have a photography talent in you love! ;-P

Bright as a Sunflower

It's been raining these past days so I had to brighten up my gloomy day with a sunflower crop top. I don't want to blend in with the weather. I bet you also experience it. For sure, you know the feeling of feeling blue on a gloomy or rainy weather.

I was in the mood of putting on my SHOP LOCA MANILA high waisted jeans and sunflower crop top. Christmas is Here!

Few more days until Christmas and I am in full out of holiday spirit. As you can see the theme of my outfit is all about Christmas. If I say "Christmas colors", I bet red and green instantly pops up in your head. So do I.

For this outfit, I played with an Urban Fresh peg thanks to THE MAN ON THE STREET dope jacket so I can pull off this look. To make it casual, I teamed it with THE URBAN HOUR Hawaii coordinated which I find so cute because of the strawberry prints. Just so you know, I have this thing with strawberry and not just in food but in everything. Accessorizing for the holiday, I added my favorite UNDFTD snapback, THE BELLE SOEURS handbag and KAE STUFF birks.

And woah! I can't believe this Cheetos wrap is upcycled and repurposed. Check out THE WRAP UP for more. ;-P

Anyway, just want to remind everyone that this season is not just for gifts, food and parties. Always remember the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Suede & Aztec

Staying cool in these DAINTY PINK CO tribal scallop from shorts since it's been hot the entire day. Shorts are fully lines and have an elastic waistband so its very comfortable to wear. Thought of paring it with black sued crop top and PURPLE SOLE PH tall gladiator sandals.

If you're going for a dressier look, team it up with gold chandelier necklace, Forever 21 gold bangles and BEND ACCESSORIES multi-functional handmade accessories kit. If you're wondering how the multifunctional accessory kit works, they can be worn as belt, necklace, headband, and bracelet plus they don't tarnish. For this outfit, I used it as a bracelet. 

The ethnic and quite eccentric trend is actually easy to wear, just pair any patterns with a small print or solid prints without making a fashion faux pas. Always remember, if you're wearing a load or colorful print, try to make that piece pop by complementing it with neutral or basic pieces. If you feel like it's still simple, you can easily add spice to it by wearing accessories but try not to wear other prints or over-accessorieze.

Awakening

Happy Monday my lovely readers? Let's start this week with an inspirational uplift, shall we? I just want to share that I had a beautiful Sunday at church yesterday with my sisters wearing my white Tilly set from DRESSCODE PROJECT. Accessorized it with my STYLE N SHINE Kortny sunnies, white plated belt, MOONSTONE JEWELS bracelet, ASHBY black Nicole tote bag and SPRING MANILA Helga flats. It always feels good ending your week by going to church to reflect and ask forgiveness from the wrong things you've done. Then by Monday, you feel refreshed and ready for another week ahead.  

I go to Victory Malate or Greenhills. The pastor talked about the new Mission series called "Uncharted". It's about discovering your role in reaching out to lost cities and training leaders. You may think you lack ability or influence to make a difference but with God, nothing is impossible. I want to share this verse from Matthew 5:13,14 that Jesus says,

"You are the salt of the earth...You are the light of the world...".

If you are wondering, the presence of salt and light has an immediate effect on the surroundings. Salt causes a transformation in the substances it is added to and light makes visible things which were previously unseen. It brings relief and clarity to the fear and confusion brought by darkness. In this verse, Jesus calls every believer of His to make a difference in the world.     Now, have you ever asked yourself why do you go to church? And, what is your purpose after you get out of church? 

There is more that I could share. However, for now this is a really great lesson to share from what I learned from church yesterday.

Never Coast

Bad weather or not, it's still a good day to post my outfit wearing one of the coolest crop tee of the year with an inspirational message. I love this crop top because it's a complete mash-up of the new mesh trend today. 

So what's NEVER COAST? To my interpretation, it means that you always have to reach higher and be the best YOU that you can be which I apply to my everyday life.

Sharing this quote to you, "Run when you can, walk if you have to, crawl if you must; just never give up. - Dean Karnazes(Ultra Marathon Runner). What I learned from being an athlete is, you can never know what's going to happen tomorrow. Life is a crazy ride and each day has enough trouble on its own. We may fail a lot of times but as what Michael Jordan said, "I failed over & over & over again in my life & that is why I succeed."

Oh! By the way, finally I had time to have a hair makeover. It's been months since I planned everything and I want to thank Ren Ren Santos, one of the Asia's multi-awarded stylists for doing a wonderful job with my hair and making my dream come true. Forget the librarian look and the school girl skirt because the TWENTEEN pleated skort I'm wearing has undergone some serious fashion treatment and paired it with an edgy Never Coast mesh crop top so it came out absolutely great. Wore it with a chunky mesh peep toe shoes, Moschino sling bag, FASHION SPICE MANILA gold chain necklace & VELOCI  cruiser watch for a street look.

Top Pick from Clothes Buffet Manila: Nude & Neutral

Would you believe that I got these lovely laser cut-out crop top and skirt matching sets from the racks of the Clothes Buffet Manila Preview last July 22? If you don't have any idea yet, don't you worry it's just simple. In 15 minutes, grab all the clothes you can and fit in a plastic pouch. Perks of being a shopaholic, I got to take home 10 pieces of clothes! I even got some for my little sisters. You better not miss out the Manila's first ever Clothes Buffet.

For most girls, not including me, the neutral look is a safe bet. But for me who loves colors and prints, the neutral look would be the last thing in my mind. This pair of laser cut-out set proved me wrong. I was supposed to choose the black or the blue one for this design but I took a leap for this. And, I don't have a single regret. 

If you're not into this look or if you want to try this look, an easy way to blend in with this trend is with a matching lipstick, nail polish, matching handbags or shoes. I personally love this SHIQ Dominique clutch. 

Added a pop of color with my MOON STONE JEWELS stackable bracelets in shade of blue and double strand jasper and turquoise necklace. EYE KNOW RIGHT two-toned sunnies complements the outfit perfectly.

All White Everything

Embracing the all-white look this year. This outfit is refreshing, timeless & chic. I have noticed that I have so much black and white clothes in my closet but I always pick out the black ones but now it's a whole different story. I decided to go from dark's to white's. I ended up in the white section of my closet and pulled out this two classic pieces that I love.

Going all out with a breezy head-to-toe all-white look this season & embracing my feminine side in a  FASHIONAPPLE Maja crop top & GLITZY GLAM SHOP mesh midi skirt.

Color coordinating your closet might save you more time if you're going for an all-white outfit. In my experience, I went home from training and when I opened my closet I saw all of clothes color coordinated already. At first I always get confused but it's just a matter of getting used to. 

Picking out a white-on-white outfit is actually fun. Pull out all your white shoes, top, skirts, pants and even jewelry and try to mix and match. Once you get going, you can never stop!

You can change the vibe of your all-white outfit just by the accesories. I wanted to achieve a classy look so I picked out my MOONSTONE JEWELS set. These are handmade jewelry made of aluminum wire and precious stone.

I love these heels for its edgy and strappy look. And one thing is for sure, these PRIMADONNA nude bandage strap heels are comfortable and made my feet feel like the "wow" factor.

I am not really a fan of scarves or shawls but who would have thought 

you can wear a shawl in 18 different ways?

For those of you that don't know, an infinity shawl is just a giant loop of fabric but it can be styled from being a simple shawl to a halter dress.

So I thought I'd show you the 3 out of the 18 ways I would wear the infinity shawl.

1.) BEACH WRAP SKIRT

This way is easy to pop after a day at the beach without dragging those sandy feet through your skirt. Paired it up with a cute STYLE N SHINE bandeau. Slipped on my Forever 21 body chain & BELLA MANILA cute gold sandals that matches my LAROVE SHOP  sunglasses and I'm good to go.

2.) HALTER DRESS

Turned the infinity shawl into a halter dress baring enough to turn head around. It's just easy. You need to step inside the scarf, pull the ends at the right and left sides, then tie or pin those ends together over your neck. Fasten with a gold plated belt to accentuate your curves.

3.) KNEE LENGTH SKIRT

This lightweight infinity shawl falls lightly over your curves and offer casual comfort for a day of errands or work. I like the sporty/casual dressy vibe of this outfit. Slipped on my Bensimon pair to complete the casual look. I usually opt to just wear a watch like from BENCH TIME on a day of errands to track time. If you are unsure about showing
