Rediscover Reeses

Last August 2, I went to a peanut-butter-chocolate filled event at SM Mall of Asia, Music Hall. My Saturday afternoon was sweet & fun with all the chocolate treats and games.  I was all hyper in some of the games (Must be the chocolates). Measuring the effect of chocolates on me, it gives me a happy high & I couldn't explain why.

(Sorry but I LOVE CHOCOLATES! So bare with me. ;-P)

The event, "Rediscover Reese's Throwback Fair" is for the Filipinos to get to know more about the brand, its rich history, and the taste of the products. This is a place to go in hedonism-mode and think nothing but chocolate. Reese's has been a brand since 1920's & up until now, its the number 1 brand in the US but unfortunately, it is not that recognized by the Filipino taste. But still, people must can't get over with the nostalgic taste of Reese's once they've experienced it.

Since the event is a throwback, my outfit is a step back into the 70's with flowing pieces and fringes galore. Dressing like a hippie makes me feel like one. I love how how they dress up to express their free flowing spirit without any restrictions.

Put on my SHOP THRIFT MARKET Ann dress and hugged my waist with a black wide leather belt.

Flounced around the fair with this KIKAYS BOUTIQUE fringe bag. Just a tip, if you don't want altering your clothes, just add fringes and you can get away with it.

Stepped into my ZARA black leather wedge with fringe to take the look from day to evening. Oh by the way, I had to run off after the event to catch my boyfriend's game so these babies saved me!

The sun was directly shining down on the event & my Zara panama hat was just perfect for the weather.

A nice dress also needs  FOREVER 21 bangles and EDGE CO arm charms. Lastly, a pair of TERRANOVA beaded drape earrings to complete the look.

So when you got nothing to wear for a fair or festival, go all hippie. PEACE!

Here Comes the Sun

The sun has finally come out after the dreadful storm, Glenda. I pray for the families who lost their loved ones from the typhoon. The weather is amazing now so I took advantage of it and decided to wear my aztec print cropped top from CERE COUTURE

Wearing Aztec prints demonstrates that you know how to keep up with trends. You can pair this amazing print with solid color or leather. The top looks fantastic with the leather shorts from MAUDE CLOTHING.

More importantly, style up your outfit with accessories. These prints are bold so its better to keep your accessories minimum. You don't want to look like a tribal print gone wrong.

Aztec prints go really well with gold accessories. Wore my Forever 21 gold bangles & gold coin hoop earrings.

Since the sun is out, it's a perfect day to wear my Forever 21 Panama Hat and SUNNIES HUB Sunnies.

Fringes really give your outfit that little pop of bohemian so KIKAYS BOUTIQUE fringe shoulder bag is perfect.

An easy choice  of footwear for this outfit is my Zara ankle boots because its great when you're on the go. I can wear this comfortable pair all day.

Don't shy away from bold prints!

I hope this has given you some style inspiration.

Dare with a Twist

Here's a serious question, "Have you ever felt that you're holding back from wearing something?". My answer would be a big YES! I've been seeing a lot of these dresses on the internet and also when Emma Watson wore it although I was hesitant to give it a try. But it's time to conquer my fear and put on a checkmark on my wish lists.

One thing I love about a dress is it can be transformed and styled for different occasions. I wore my INDIEGO-GO BOUTIQUE twist front maxi dress in hippie style. It's not only comfortable but it's equally wearable for day as it is for night.

For a day look, I wore it with my GEORGINA SASHA round-framed #Gsunnies & Forever 21 Panama hat.

Don't forget to put a fringe accent to get the indie bohemian look. I got this nice fringe bag from KIKAYS BOUTIQUE.

Slipped on to these edgy gold plated sandals.

THE KIKAY ETC Arm Candies & rings.

DCG FASHION's statement necklace to finish the look.

If you have fear and it's holding you back from something, don't let it swallow you and approach it with confidence. You'll feel damn good when you finally break through.

You'll only find out if you take that one extra step off your comfortable edge.
