How to Wear Culottes whether you're Tall, Petite or Plus Size?

Since it's getting hotter in the Philippines, this coming summer is all about the new, loose cropped trousers. Styling these pants can be tricky, but I know you can work this style. It may be in full-length or midi, wide-leg culotte pants can easily become your new work-wear must-have or you can have another alternative for your jeans.

Why I love to wear this pant style? Because whether you're tall or petite, you can pull this off! Plus they are so comfy, breezy, and chic.

So how I wore mine?

I have a co-ord sleeveless vest and wide leg culotte already so all I need to do is to find the perfect inner top.  I want to make it more bold but still chic so I chose to wear my Forever 21 leather tube crop corset.

Remember this trio guide to complete an outfit with culottes -
"LONG OUTWEAR" + CROP TOP + MIDI CULOTTES".

Opt for a standout outfit with minimalist accessories.

The 3 quarter length for culottes is the most universally flattering fit. For petite girls, to give you the longer silhouette pair this look with a long blazer or vest and don't forget to wear with heels. Wearing culottes well is all about your shoes. You can go for a pair of pointy toe pumps w/ a slim heel for sleep ladylike look but for advanced culottes wearers you can go for more daring options like a thick-heeled platform or fun booties.

Lastly, come people think plus-size girls can't wear culottes because of the shape but that's not true! Tucking your shirt created more of a waist and wearing heels elongate your legs.

Red Dress Through The Holiday Season

Who's already planning on what to wear this coming Holiday season? The season of Christmas parties is fast approaching and the inevitable question is, "What to wear?" This is not an easy question to answer especially to women. So here's one outfit idea but you can have these following options as well:

1. Go all-out and dress in a party dress.
2. Keep it simple or minimalistic and effortlessly chic with top and pants ensemble.
3. Dress up your casual jeans but match it with a sparkly or metallic top.

For my outfit, there's no denying the power of wearing red. I feel instantly more confident, bold, and sexy in the hue. This color really inspires my holiday dressing.

Remember this quote, "A woman never needs an excuse to wear a flattering red dress with heels!"

Chella Vibe

Sorry, this will be quick because I have a game later. So here it goes.

Since it's Coachella season, it's time to embrace the bohemian style. For this look, I teamed my ensemble with pink PANOPLIA coordinates, together with VETUS SHOP crochet vest, Zara leather boots, KIKAYS BOUTIQUE fringe bag, GEORGINA SASHA chandelier earrings & LADY MARMALADE SHOP necklace.

If you want to stand out in the crowd, choose loud prints and patterns, ethnic tunics and vintage-look tees; it's all about being seen under the sun this summer. You can also choose from cut-off denim shorts paired with bring or neon wells, or long maxi dresses match with stylish open-toe gladiators.

Be playful because it's all about fun this summer.

Top & Bottom Coordinates: PANOPLIA
Crochet Vest: VETUS SHOP
Footwear: Zara

Go Outdoors

It's that time of the year when the cold weather sends chills to your fingertips and the rain seems determined not to leave the country. Some, of course, make this as a reason to stay indoors with a hot chocolate but others cannot wait to gear up and get outside for an adventure.

Thank goodness waterproof jackets has come a long way in fashion. ALTUM CLOTHING CO. just makes style and comfort meets practicality. I'm not really a type of girl who brings everything inside her bag like an umbrella that makes my "Fleur Reverti" jacket comes in handy.  It's fashionable, practical and comfortable yet affordable for your pockets. It's also a two-in-one jacket. This jacket has both water resistant and a cotton side for both cold and rainy weathers. Awesome beans!

Completed this look with INDIE-GO high waisted shorts, Zara ribbon tie-front crop top, VELOCI metro watch and Nike shoes I got as pasalubong from Tito Balt. :-)

And now, I still have to pack for Ilocos for a game. Toodles!

Shades of Grey on Sun Rays

Hello everyone! Beautiful sun rays piercing to the clouds, welcoming a bright new day. I'm reminded of the summer in this heat but I just thought of mixing different shades of grey in my outfit since it's already ber-months. I usually go for a matchy-matchy look but for a change, I'm mixing different shades in one look.

I found myself a comfy grey longsleeves from CERTAIN THINGS. It has soft, cotton fabric and an awesome fit on my athletic shoulder. Then I laid my eye on this curve hugging one-side maxi skirt  from WE ARE FASHIONAPPLE and fell in love with it. This sexy one-sided maxi skirt spiced up the whole outfit and its perfect for the weather.

If you've been following me ever since, you'll notice these Zara leather boots pretty much haven't left my feet because they've been a perfect "moving" shoes for me. Brought my GRIZZLY GEAR leather messenger bag to the meeting with me today. It's perfect for carrying everyday essentials, this spacious bag has the right size to fit my laptop in.

For my accessories, it got me wondering if the mixing of metals is acceptable elsewhere like gold, silver and bronze, upon which I immediately realized when I tried it on me, of course it is! Mixed my gold necklace, gold plated belt, BENCH TIME silver watch, THE PINK DRESSER inspiring tricolor ring.

How do you like my look today?

Take a Risk

I felt bold and adventurous so I dared myself wearing this statement piece, I LOVE NL CLOTHING long sleeves crop top with suspenders. With the Philippines' bipolar weather, I can always top this off with a vest if ever it gets cold or to not feel so bare.

This tomboy-inspired piece looks killer paired with a high-waisted shorts from VINTAGE SHORTS PH.

Whether the crop top is bright or the shorts, make sure that there's a nice balance. You can even play with patterns as well!

My Zara Leather Boots surely elongated my petite frame.

Don't forget the most important thing, accessorizing.

I chose to wear my FASHION SPICE MANILA  chunky chained necklace, LAROVE SHOP silver flash lenses, VELOCI cruiser watch, NINE WEST cross body bag & TERRANOVA fedora hat.

Keep your eye out for statement pieces while out in shopping, You can do so much with them plus you will stand out from the crowd. ;-P

Just one side not: "Take a Risk."

Rediscover Reeses

Last August 2, I went to a peanut-butter-chocolate filled event at SM Mall of Asia, Music Hall. My Saturday afternoon was sweet & fun with all the chocolate treats and games.  I was all hyper in some of the games (Must be the chocolates). Measuring the effect of chocolates on me, it gives me a happy high & I couldn't explain why.

(Sorry but I LOVE CHOCOLATES! So bare with me. ;-P)

The event, "Rediscover Reese's Throwback Fair" is for the Filipinos to get to know more about the brand, its rich history, and the taste of the products. This is a place to go in hedonism-mode and think nothing but chocolate. Reese's has been a brand since 1920's & up until now, its the number 1 brand in the US but unfortunately, it is not that recognized by the Filipino taste. But still, people must can't get over with the nostalgic taste of Reese's once they've experienced it.

Since the event is a throwback, my outfit is a step back into the 70's with flowing pieces and fringes galore. Dressing like a hippie makes me feel like one. I love how how they dress up to express their free flowing spirit without any restrictions.

Put on my SHOP THRIFT MARKET Ann dress and hugged my waist with a black wide leather belt.

Flounced around the fair with this KIKAYS BOUTIQUE fringe bag. Just a tip, if you don't want altering your clothes, just add fringes and you can get away with it.

Stepped into my ZARA black leather wedge with fringe to take the look from day to evening. Oh by the way, I had to run off after the event to catch my boyfriend's game so these babies saved me!

The sun was directly shining down on the event & my Zara panama hat was just perfect for the weather.

A nice dress also needs  FOREVER 21 bangles and EDGE CO arm charms. Lastly, a pair of TERRANOVA beaded drape earrings to complete the look.

So when you got nothing to wear for a fair or festival, go all hippie. PEACE!

Here Comes the Sun

The sun has finally come out after the dreadful storm, Glenda. I pray for the families who lost their loved ones from the typhoon. The weather is amazing now so I took advantage of it and decided to wear my aztec print cropped top from CERE COUTURE

Wearing Aztec prints demonstrates that you know how to keep up with trends. You can pair this amazing print with solid color or leather. The top looks fantastic with the leather shorts from MAUDE CLOTHING.

More importantly, style up your outfit with accessories. These prints are bold so its better to keep your accessories minimum. You don't want to look like a tribal print gone wrong.

Aztec prints go really well with gold accessories. Wore my Forever 21 gold bangles & gold coin hoop earrings.

Since the sun is out, it's a perfect day to wear my Forever 21 Panama Hat and SUNNIES HUB Sunnies.

Fringes really give your outfit that little pop of bohemian so KIKAYS BOUTIQUE fringe shoulder bag is perfect.

An easy choice  of footwear for this outfit is my Zara ankle boots because its great when you're on the go. I can wear this comfortable pair all day.

Don't shy away from bold prints!

I hope this has given you some style inspiration.
