Every Cloud has a Silver Lining

And yes! Every cloud has a silver lining. If we take the literal meaning, then yes even the darkest cloud has a silver lining & nature can prove it. I really don't like it when its gloomy and rainy, it's just depressing. This time of the year, the weather's kind of bipolar so it's really hard to decide what to wear. In my experience, I went off in the morning with a bright sunny day and just wearing a tank top and shorts then all of a sudden, the rain poured in the afternoon. Bugger!

I'm sharing this proverb because it contains a very deep wisdom that helps people get through with the difficulties they are facing. After the bad days, good days follows. We may face failures but it's the only ladder to success. Channeling optimism through my blog.

Dark & gloomy days place me in a dark mood while sunny days make me feel bright & happy. And so I thought of a better way to brighten up my wardrobe on a gloomy day with a flash of metallic. You can definitely shine on in a metallic frock or even from head-to-toe and you'll surely look bedazzling.

When I saw this THE URBAN HOUR silver skater skirt, I told myself it has to be mine. I thought this skirt is a statement piece. Metallic color & skater skirt style, two of my favorite things in one. I think I have an unconscious thing for metallic stuff especially silver and gold.

Pair the silver skirt with a top appropriate enough for work & festive enough for a cocktail party afterwards. I chose to wear one piece that I love from my corset collection and covered some skin with I LOVE KIMONOS white kimono. I got this lovely corset from THE BRAND TRUNK.

Since I'm wearing pearl earrings, I paired it with this impressive EIGHT 8 AVENUE Onyx Necklace that enchants the whole outfit with its beautiful facets.

These comfortable MONICA LEE wedges will take you from a busy day at work to a casual night without ease.

Again, every cloud has a silver lining. I certainly agree to this proverb. Have you seen the Silver Lining? Literally & Metamorphically? Remember, there is darkness in your life but the sunshine is all behind you.

Perfect Tuck & Ready to Jump

One piece swimsuits or bodysuits are no longer boring! For those who have watched Baywatch, bodysuits looked hot on Pamela and Yasmine. Just perfect for your friend's pool party, for the beach or interchangeable with your favorite top under some high waisted jean shorts. Jumped in my bodysuit from LAROVE SHOP that's perfectly tucked in my acid washed high waisted shorts.

This body suit will give you a perfect tuck, no matter what you wear it with. I chose to wear it with a high waisted shorts. You know why? For a short girl like me, I really wish to look taller with the clothes I'm wearing. But I don't have to fret anymore because thank God for high waisted shorts. You'll get longer legs in seconds.

Covered up in a flowy white kimono from I LOVE KIMONOS. This is the perfect breezy light weight cover up that will also protect your skin from the sun.

There is a day that all I need is a good book to read while I'm laying around under the sun and eating a pint of New Zealand Natural Phils "Hokey Pokey" ice cream. Do you know that the "Hokey Pokey" ice cream has a special hearts in the hearts of all New Zealanders? It's one of the popular flavors of ice cream in the country. It's made by adding Toffee to vanilla ice cream. The bits of the light airy toffee makes an instant hit in your tastebuds. I can definitely finish a pint or more in a day.

Sharing this quote, "Your body is a reflection of your lifestyle". Yes, I have a muscular physique because I'm an athlete and I'm proud of it. I am not the typical blogger who can fit in any clothes but I hold on to this quote, "It's not what you wear, it's how you wear it." and it's how confident you are when you face the world. For me, muscles are beautiful. Strength is beautiful. Strength that amazes and fears men. Strength that are developed from struggles. Strength that gives you courage to surmount any hardships that life gives you and won't let you ever give up.

So what are you waiting for? Your greatest self has been waiting for your whole life, don't  make it wait any longer and go beyond your limitations.

Be strong. Be confident. Be you!

Day to Night: Jumpsuit Friday

So it's a Friday. I bet you've already envisioned giving yourself a break from a crazy & stressful week with your friends or go out on a date. If you are like me, you would rather wear something that will look suitable for work and also great when you go out at night. Do up your day look & shine at night in this Laurence Jumpsuit from @theclothinghub. I chose this piece because it's versatile. A little black dress? How about a black jumpsuit?

For my daytime look, all I need is a black trimmed kimono from @anythinggoesstore to cover some skin and to make this look more conservative during the day.

But at night time, ditch the kimono! Be confident & show off what you got! Step outside of your comfort zone with me.

Go for a shoe-play and choose a pair of sexy pointed toe high heels to elongate your legs or anything that you are comfortable with.

Don't forget to add in a bag that will fit everything you need. For me, I chose this doctor's bag from @kikays_boutique because of its interesting details, spacious and it complements my outfit. It's just funny how men always wonder why every woman has to carry a bag wherever they go.

I don't know why but for me, black and gold are meant for each other. I must not forget my @velocitime gold voyager watch on a day like this. Lastly, chunky gold chain necklace & bracelet to finish off my glam outfit.

I knew that this piece could make a look from office appropriate to sexy and sophisticated at night.

I dare you to try this for a less hassle yet chic  look.
