Happy New Year 2015!

Last week we rang in the new year and declared, "Out with the old!" and, "In with the new!"

I just want to greet everybody a Happy New Year! I hope you guys had a wonderful holiday season with your loved ones and friends. For me, I spent my holiday season well with the people close to my heart especially my boyfriend, Matt who stayed in the Philippines for us to celebrate our first Christmas & New Year together. 2014 was indeed a good year and I'm looking forward for what 2015 has for me. 

How about you? Since it's New Year, everybody's thinking of what's their new year's resolution. What to change from last year? This and that. The new year makes people welcome change. We make resolutions defining what will be better for our lives this 2015. Even if change is hard, just take baby steps and you'll get there.

I decide to go casual but still fash-i-on as Matt and I went to the mall. Some folks are already posting their New Year's preparation while I'm still at the mall scoring some post holiday sales. By the way, credits to Matt Salem for taking these nice photos. I didn't know you have a photography talent in you love! ;-P

Go Outdoors

It's that time of the year when the cold weather sends chills to your fingertips and the rain seems determined not to leave the country. Some, of course, make this as a reason to stay indoors with a hot chocolate but others cannot wait to gear up and get outside for an adventure.

Thank goodness waterproof jackets has come a long way in fashion. ALTUM CLOTHING CO. just makes style and comfort meets practicality. Lace Up

Let's just say, I have a thing for Nike Sky Hi Wedges. Wearing my new addition to my collection today. You wouldn't believe how I got this. I'll try to make this short. So, I was shopping with Michele and Lhexie at the mall while the boyfriends went around separately. I called Matt right after when we were done with our girl thing and then ta-da! Matt approached me holding a Nike paper bag and guess what's inside?

Effortlessly sporty and chic for my outfit for today, went for a casual look with my LACE UP REVOLUTION t-shirt on denim high waist shorts paired it with my Nike sky hi wedges metallic bronze and Rastaclat strap back. Accessorized my look with my triple Rastaclat bracelets & black handy shoulder bag from ASHBY BAGS.

Elevate your style while staying cozy all day. These babies surely give you the same height that you get when wearing a pair of heels. ;-P

Take a Risk

I felt bold and adventurous so I dared myself wearing this statement piece, I LOVE NL CLOTHING long sleeves crop top with suspenders. With the Philippines' bipolar weather, I can always top this off with a vest if ever it gets cold or to not feel so bare. 

This tomboy-inspired piece looks killer paired with a high-waisted shorts from VINTAGE SHORTS PH.

Whether the crop top is bright or the shorts, make sure that there's a nice balance. You can even play with patterns as well!

My Zara Leather Boots surely elongated my petite frame. 

Don't forget the most important thing, accessorizing.

I chose to wear my FASHION SPICE MANILA  chunky chained necklace, LAROVE SHOP silver flash lenses, VELOCI cruiser watch, NINE WEST cross body bag & TERRANOVA fedora hat.

Keep your eye out for statement pieces while out in shopping, You can do so much with them plus you will stand out from the crowd. ;-P

Out of the Blue

Hello everyone! I hope you had an amazing weekend. To start of the week right, I am being productive by posting an outfit today. For this look,  I feel like wearing blue all of a sudden. I rarely choose this kind of color because to those who knew my background, I've been really used to the color green. And wearing the blue color seems "taboo" (you know, because of the school rivalry thing).

The H&M top and Forever 21 bottom are my lovely choice from ZHAIS CLOSET,  the shop has so many authentic branded clothes, bags, make ups and accessories straight from the US.

I decided to have another touch of blue with this 3-way bag from THE PINK DRESSER. In all fairness, I fell in love with this color and I don't regret of taking a leap of faith. The color just pops out and brightens the whole look.

Adding a touch of glamour with this gold dangling earrings that Matt gave me for a present last Valentines day. 

With all these blue, I also pray for a clear blue sky but I heard a storm will come soon.

Just perfect for your friend's pool party, for the beach or interchangeable with your favorite top under some high waisted jean shorts. Jumped in my bodysuit from LAROVE SHOP that's perfectly tucked in my acid washed high waisted shorts.

This body suit will give you a perfect tuck, no matter what you wear it with. I chose to wear it with a high waisted shorts. You know why? For a short girl like me, I really wish to look taller with the clothes I'm wearing. But I don't have to fret anymore because thank God for high waisted shorts. You'll get longer legs in seconds.

Covered up in a flowy white kimono from I LOVE KIMONOS. This is the perfect breezy light weight cover up that will also protect your skin from the sun.

There is a day that all I need is a good book to read while I'm laying around under the sun and eating a pint of New Zealand Natural Phils "Hokey Pokey" ice cream. Do you know that the "Hokey Pokey" ice cream has a special hearts in the hearts of all New Zealanders? It's one of the popular flavors of ice cream in the country. It's made by adding Toffee to vanilla ice cream. The bits of the light airy toffee makes an instant hit in your tastebuds. I can definitely finish a pint or more in a day.

  

Sharing this quote, "Your body is a reflection of your lifestyle". Yes, I have a muscular physique because I'm an athlete and I'm proud of it. I am not the typical blogger who can fit in any clothes but I hold on to this quote, "It's not what you wear, it's how you wear it." and it's how confident you are when you face the world. For me, muscles are beautiful. Strength is beautiful. Strength that amazes and fears men. Strength that are developed from struggles. Strength that gives you courage to surmount any hardships that life gives you and won't let you ever give up.

So what are you waiting for? Your greatest self has been waiting for your whole life, don't  make it wait any longer and go beyond your limitations.

Be strong. Be confident. Be you!
