Lace-Up Gladiator Flats for Women With Muscular Legs

I know why you opened this page. ;-P I just want to say, "I feel you". I honestly don't have that model-physique or those pencil-looking-bodies that fit into every dress but I love fashion so blah! I'm one of those women with muscular legs who is struggling to fit in those leather knee high gladiator sandals so finally I found a solution! I found my Lace-Up Gladiator Flats in TUTUM SHOP.

For girls with muscular legs, the struggle is real when it comes to shoe shopping. While other women shop for shoes depending on our style preferences and budget, for us, it's a whole different story. Some questions we ask ourselves: Will they pinch my calves? Will it look like my calves can't breath? and etc. You can leave a comment of some of your questions you always ask yourself when it comes to shoe shopping so I might help you out and give you a solution to your dilemma.

Here are some tips:

1.) You can go for a skin-tone colored lace-up flats so it'll look like an extension of the legs and make muscular ones look longer.

2.) Opt for a pointed-tip rather than round-tip shoes. Unlike rounded tip shoes, pointed tip shoes make you look lighter and not heavier.

3.) You got to show a little more skin. It will make your legs look leaner and even longer. Open-toe or cutouts are going to look a little better. Be proud of those muscles and flaunt it.

Be proud of what God gave you. You are beautiful in God's eyes.
Don't be afraid to flaunt what you have.

8 Foam Roller Exercises To Relieve Muscle Pain

If you've never invested in a foam roller, which is inexpensive and super-versatile piece of gym equipment that can help you with everything from working out the knots in your muscles to helping you build stronger core, then this is the time for you to get one.

Many gyms have foam rollers now - but only few know how to use it. You can even have your own foam roller at home if you don't want to share the sweat of other people sticking on foam rollers in the gym.

Foam rollers must be used correctly to release tension and tightness between muscles and the fascia - which surrounds the targeted muscles or group of muscles. Foam rolling can really improve your flexibility and range of movement and also it prevents the risk of injury.

The thing with foam rolling is you have to use your body weight, so if an area really hurts, you can go gentle on it first and support some of your weight by using and arm or leg. To those who have high pain tolerance, you can add more weight as the muscles relaxes. For short, you have to work to your own pain threshold.

If you're new to foam rolling, you can include this in your exercise routine every other day for a month. Then, if you can already manage you can do it once or twice daily - before and after workouts.

Things you need:
A space enough for you to do foam rolling (Carpeted and Taraflex flooring is better) and a foam roller. You can find and order them at MYOFIT

Pre-workout:
Do a quick 5-minute warm-up before your workout routine or weight-training session.

How to properly do it?
For each move, slowly roll back and forth for about 20 to 30 seconds before moving to the next exercise. Hold for 5 to 10 seconds from end to end. Take deep and slow breaths to help your muscles relax. Make sure to avoid rolling onto your joints. The roller must be positioned under your muscles and if you hit a tight muscle, stay on that spot and apply direct pressure for 30 seconds until the pain decreases.

1.) Glutes

How?
Sit on the floor with your legs straight and extend your arms to lift your glutes. Move your glute back and forth across the roller. When you're done with one side, shift your weight on the other side and repeat.

2.) Hamstrings & Glutes

How?
Sit with your legs extended in front of you. Position the roller under your thighs. Place your hands flat on the floor behind you for support. Roll using your arms to initiate the motion. Slowly roll back and forth to move the roller from the bottom of your glutes to just above your knees.

3.) Illiotibial Band (ITB)

How?
Position your left hip against the roller. Cross your right leg over your left as shown below the image and put both one or both hands on the ground for support. It's up to you. Roll using your left arm to assist the motion. Roll your ITB back and forth over the roller below your hip to above your knee. Switch on your right left after your done on the left leg.

4.) Calves - Soleus

How?
Sit on the floor with both legs in front of you. Place the roller underneath your calves and your hands on the floor behind you and use your hand to support and raise your butt off the floor. Roll slowly back and forth from just below your knees to above your ankles.

5.) Shins

How?
Get on your hands and knees on the floor. The foam roller must be placed underneath your shins while your hands should be positioned just in front of your shoulders on the ground, and your heels slightly outward. Roll by shifting your weight forward bringing your shoulders in front of your hands to move the roller from your ankles to just below your knees.

6.) Quadriceps

How?
Lie face down with the roller positioned directly under your thighs. Bend your elbows so that your forearms are flat on the floor to support your weight. Your feet should be raised as shown in the image below. Use your arms to gently roll your body forward and back from your pelvic bone to just above your knees.

7.) Latissimus Dorsi

How?
Lie on your right side with your right arm extended along the floor as shown in the image below. Place the roller directly under your right armpit. Roll up and down so the roller moves from your armpit to just above your waist. Switch position once you're finished on the left side.

8.) Upper Back (Thoracic Spine)

How?
Place your upper back against the roller position underneath your shoulder blades. Bend your knees 45 degrees so your feet are flat on the floor. Lift your butt and place both of your hands behind your head or you can also cross your arms over your chest. Slowly roll forward and back so the roller moves between the middle of your back and the top of your shoulder blades.

Does it hurt? I'd be lying if I said "No". But, the pain is for only a short term and then you'll have happier muscles and better recovery. "No pain, no gain"

Lastly, whenever you contract your muscles when you hold each position, you also strengthen each area as you stretch. Now, you have more reason to start doing foam rolling!

Scarf on A Windy Day

Hi guys! It's been awhile since I posted an outfit because I've been really busy getting things together at my new place. So, it's already rainy season here in the Philippines and the weather here is bipolar so you don't know if it'll rain or not. In that case I always bring a foldable umbrella and an infinite shawl that fits my bag. Trust me, it comes in handy.

When the wind starts to blow, I just have to put out my IMPRESAFASHION shawl, plus sometimes it's fun to wear shawls because it can add some color and vibe to your outfit. Having an infinite shawl is so convenient because you can style it in so many ways and it can change your outfit style in instant; like from Bohemian look to work-look. For my outfit, I wore an H&M white tank top paired with ripped boyfriend jeans. What I love about jeans is they don't go out of style and they are easy to pair with. A cute pair of boyfriend fit can create a laid-back attitude for everyday wear. In addition,  some of my favorite accessories like the OLD GOLD VINTAGE sunglasses, VELOCI watch, GUESS bag,  Forever 21 bangles & earrings and TRES SHOES PH sandals to complete my look.

Always go for comfort and minimum effort while still trying to look fun everyday this week.

Top: H&M
Bottom: VETUS SHOP
Infinity Shawl: IMPRESAFASHION
Accessories: Forever 21
Footwear: TRES SHOES PH
Bag: Guess

The Chevrolet Sonic LTZ Hatchback Review

Little seems to be the new big thing nowadays, even in the car world. With the new 2015 Chevrolet Sonic LTZ, this stylish little car will make your small world seem so much bigger.

Styling Exterior

When you look at the Sonic for the first time, you will notice its great sleek style. Chevrolet did a great job with the styling of this little car. What is great about the style of the Sonic is that it has an aggressive, sporty look to it. The front end of the Sonic has an aggressive square jaw look. With the headlights and taillights sporting a black-rimmed cover, the lights are exposed and emphasized to give the car a great look.

The back end of the car does not disappoint you either. With a rear spoiler on the top of the vehicle keeps the aggressive, sporty look to the Sonic. Also, I can’t forget about the stylish alloy wheels. Now when you see the Sonic for the first time you probably won’t notice the rear door handles. They have a new and unique place on the door, located on the topside of the rear door.

Sporty & Sophisticated Interior

The Sonic’s interior has a very attractive look to it. First thing you notice in the Sonic is that the dash has a black with silver trim look, which is very sophisticated. The dashboard is made of a hard sturdy plastic that is durable. Taking a look closer, the analog tachometer and speedometer add a different look to the Sonic. It’s like a motorcycle type look added to the dash. With a two door glove box to store little things in.  The air vents have a neat look to them.

The rear seating of the Sonic has more space than other sub-compact cars, with legroom and headroom. Once you look at the rear cargo you would think it is quit, but don’t be fooled; there is a under cargo for more space.

Engine Performance

Opening the hood of the Sonic you will notice the four-cylinder engine. Asking your self if this little engine has any power to it? The answer to that is yes, it does. This little 98hp 1.4 –liter motor has power to get this car flying. It has a six-speed automatic transmission and also a manual mode to it.

Chevrolet did a great job with the Sonic getting great mileage. Around town the car will average 10km/L. On the highway it will average around 18km/L.

Handling and Riding

Handling in the Sonic is great; the suspension and steer handling seem to go hand in hand. Taking long or sharp turns the Sonic is great, with changing direction and as well safe and secure.  As you are driving the Sonic, the ride will be enjoying. Long trips or stuck in the manila traffic, the ride of the car will not bug you at all.

Extra Features

Backing up made easy in the Sonic, with the reverse back up cam making backing up easier. The little cam on the rear end of the car solves all backing up problems. Not only is there a backup cam but also backup sensors to warn you how close you are to things. The Sonic has great sound system built into the car, and the auto controls on the steering wheel make it easier to change radio stations or higher/lower volume. You also get keyless entry. On the different models of the Sonic, you can get a touchscreen display, fog lamps, and more.

Also, for the music lovers out there the Sonic has Bluetooth connectivity and USB auxiliary so you can just play and listen to your playlist especially during traffic hours. It has steering wheel mounted audio controls that provides easy audio management while driving.  Last thing, the speakers are strategically placed within the Sonic to give you a great listening experience during any long drive.

To end this review, the aggressive, sporty looking Sonic is a great car in the end. This sub-compact car will not disappoint you on your driving experience. For sure you will not get tired of this car and it will make you always want to drive wherever your going. It will make you coast down the road.
